Southwestern Studies

This course may be taken as History 2301 (Texas History) or History 2380 (Heritage of Mexico). Texas History is accepted as a replacement for U.S. History at most Texas colleges and universities. Most teacher certification programs require Texas History. The Heritage of Mexico course is part of the Cultural Studies program in the new Core Curriculum. Both courses will transfer as history. The instructor is Wanda Downing Jones, History Department Coordinator.
