The study of word origin and structure through the introduction of prefixes, suffixes, root words, plurals, abbreviations and symbols, surgical procedures, medical specialties, and diagnostics procedures.  Emphasis will be on identification, definition, spelling and the application of medical terms relating to the human body, specific medical tests and medical procedures.  Course also includes an introduction to anatomy and physiology. Students must attend a mandatory Information Session to receive an application packet. Introduction to Bilingual Pathophysiology will be offered in the Fall of 2013 .  Topics are presented in both English and Spanish.
