PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: NURSING - REGISTERED NURSE TRAINING HESI. Admission Prep is a Continuing Education course offered for students planning to take the HESI A2 test for admission into the AD nursing program or other health occupations programs requiring this exam This computer-based test measures skills in anatomy, math, vocabulary, general knowledge, reading comprehension, and grammar. Your scores are then compared with the levels required for success in nursing. The HESI Admission Prep cannot guarantee that you will pass the test but it will address the skills necessary for you to best demonstrate the knowledge you already have. In addition to the testing subjects, it will address test taking and test stress. Students will be given the opportunity to take a practice test to experience the test taking process. Bring textbook and a packet of 3x5 cards to class

This course fulfills the annual education renewal requirements for the Certified Medication Aide. Topics include review and update of medication aide training rules, medication administration, and related responsibilities.  Intensive training in an identified area(s) to meet continuing education and/or review/update requirements associated with professional license or certification. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency.  Register early, limited space available.   Prerequisite: Medication Aide - Basic Course.
