2008-2009 Catalog Course Descriptions for Fashion Marketing FSHD 1233 Fashion Study Tour (2) This is a WECM Course Number. A course which combines the study of fashion with travel. Exploration of fashion, art, architecture, textiles, costumer, business, and cultural activities in major art and fashion cities. Examination of the most current work in the industry from a global perspective. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. This course may be repeated for credit. (2 Lec.) Introduction to the creation and merchandising of fashion through the study of fashion vocabulary, the fashion process, fashion publications, and career opportunities. (3 Lec.) Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology or occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student.
