Laptops

Laptops can be lent to faculty and staff on a first come first served basis. There are a limited number of them. All laptops must be returned within two weeks so that others can have an opportunity to use them.

Assistance

You can get assistance with your computer or printer by calling 2167 or by sending an email to 5dphelp@dcccd.edu.

Quotes

You can get a quote for a new computer or printer by by sending an email to 5dphelp@dcccd.edu or by contacting a manager in College Computing.

Software Purchases

Software purchases must go through College Computing for several reasons the most pressing reason being that of auditing. DSC audits the college every year. All software and licensing must be accounted for when the auditors arrive. If software is not purchased through College Computing, there will be no record of the purchase and therefore we will not be in audit compliance.

Wireless Network

We do indeed have a wireless network at El Centro. Currently it covers the following areas:

The Main Campus has wireless coverage except for the first floor which is still being remodeled.

The BJP Campus has 100% wireless coverage.

The West Campus has 100% wireless coverage.

The Paramount Campus has 100% wireless coverage.

The R Campus does not yet have wireless coverage.
