Why do software purchases have to go through College Computing?
|
Read the Guidelines
|
Software Purchases
Software purchases must go through College Computing for several reasons the most pressing reason being that of auditing. DSC audits the college every year. All software and licensing must be accounted for when the auditors arrive. If software is not purchased through College Computing, there will be no record of the purchase and therefore we will not be in audit compliance.

Wireless Network
We do indeed have a wireless network at El Centro. Currently it covers the following areas:
Building A floors: 2,3,4,5,9
Building B floors: 1 and 2
Building C floors: 1,2,3
Wireless Access Points are about to be installed on floors: 6,7,8.
The cabling for floors 0 and 1 will be pulled in the next few days and the access points will be installed after the remodeling of the respective floors.
R-Campus (701 Elm) will be surveyed in the coming days for wireless access as will the Paramount Building.
BJP has 100% wireless coverage.
West Campus has 100% wireless coverage.
