BOMB THREAT PROCEDURES
In the event a bomb threat is receive by telephone, please be familiar with these procedures that should be followed:
1) Remain calm. Listen: Do not interrupt the caller.
2) Check caller-ID.
3) Make an educated guess as to the sex, age, race, voice or accent of the caller, or determine if an disguised voice is being used.
4) Attempt to identify background noises that may help to determine the location from where the call is being made, such as street traffic, music, laughter, etc.
5) If possible, determine from the caller:
1) the time the bomb is scheduled to explode,
2) the location of the bomb,
3) the reason for the threat.
6) If possible, complete the BOMB THREAT CHECKLIST while the details are still fresh in your mind.
7) Immediately notify College Police at extension 2232. They will immediately notify the college president or the administrator-in-charge, Facility Services, Public Information, and the Dallas Police Department.
8) The decision to evacuate the campus during a bomb threat will be the responsibility of the college president, or the administrator-in-charge in the president’s absence, or the college police.

Notify your supervisor and college police immediately -x2232.
Do not talk with anyone else about the call.
