Now that you have applied to the college, you are ready to attend New Student Orientation, the next step in starting your educational journey.

New Student Orientation is MANDATORY for students who are enrolling into college courses for the first time. Students must attend orientation before registering for classes.

You should attend New Student Orientation if:

• You are required to attend New Student Orientation if this will be your first time in college.

At New Student Orientation you will:

• Discover the classes needed to work towards your degree.
• Register for classes.
• Learn more about the financial aid process.
• Learn about free services that are available on campus to help you reach academic success.
• Learn how to use online tools to handle your academic affairs, including how to register online.
• Meet college instructors, staff and administrators.
• Meet El Centro Students who have been successful.
• Meet new students at El Centro.

Before Registering

Students should complete an application for admission to the college and it is highly recommended that you complete a placement test before registering for orientation. Use the links below or visit with an academic advisor for more information on placement tests.
