Section 5420 on-line course. Required software includes Windows
7 (downloadable) software, Internet, and e-mail address/account.
Online students have two choices for completing the lab
activities for Windows 7 Configuration. The following are
minimum system requirements for both scenarios: 1) Windows 7
installed directly on available hardware requires (GHz 32-bit
(x86) or 64-bit processor, 512 MB of system memory (2GB
recommended), 80 GB hard drive, DVD-ROM drive, network adaptor,
for Windows Aero, support Direct X 9 graphics with WDDM driver,
128 MB of graphics memory (minimum), Pixel shader 2.0 in
hardware, and 32 bits per pixel; or 2) Vista installed in a
Virtual PC 2007 virtual machine on a host computer requires (same
hardware specs as above, except recommend minimum 2 GB of system
memory and Virtual PC 2007 installed (free download) or students
may attend open lab on Friday evening or another time designated
by instructor to complete required labs. Students without a home
computer have access to El Centro College's Computer Lab (A435).
